LUCIFER

Concerto for Philip Mead (piano) and 21 loud instruments conducted by James Gourlay.   NMC Records.

SEPTEMBRAL, the first disc devoted entirely to Poole, beautifully recorded on Metier label

"totally original ... An extraordinary disc" - The Wire

"This release is most welcome" - musicweb

"an impressive showcase" - The Sunday Times

Recorded in Summer 2000, SEPTEMBRAL brings premiere recordings of four recent chamber pieces called Firefinch (for oboe and piano), The Impersonal Touch (two pianos), Septembral (bass clarinet, violin, cello and piano) and The Lindsay Quartet's live account of the highly acclaimed third string quartet.

The second quartet (1990) has been performed internationally and is available on "Fast Forward" from ASC.

Sailing With Archangels, a new Sheherezade for wind orchestra, is vividly put across on the RNCM's Metropolis CD.

The youthful classic Wymondham Chants continues to prosper internationally on The Kings Singers' CD Sermons and Devotions.

And for a sorbet, try Skally Skarekrow's Whistling Book on John Turner's Recorder Album, flatteringly entitled John and Peter's Whistling Book

Some other titles are:

Blackbird - secular requiem for full choir, orchestra, and soloists to texts by Wallace Stevens and others, first broadcast by BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, 1995
